The renovation and addition project at the Salem Probate and Family Court revitalized a historic 1909 courthouse while integrating modern functionality through a new 5-story addition. The courthouse underwent extensive interior renovations and exterior restorations, preserving select historic elements and implementing high-end finishes such as millwork and marble accents. The new 30,000 sf addition, constructed with a steel frame on rammed aggregate piers, seamlessly blends with the existing structure and features exquisite granite and limestone facades. This project not only enhanced the court’s operational efficiency but also preserved its architectural heritage for future generations.
