Arnett Hall is a new, 150-bed residence hall at Seattle Pacific University featuring suite-style rooms and amenities such as a community lounge, exercise room, and a rooftop deck with views to Lake Washington Ship Canal and the Cascade Mountains. The 76 units were constructed on four wood-framed floors over two floors of post-tensioned concrete decks that provide 69 parking stalls. Demolition of four existing homes, mass excavation, and installation of shoring and lagging was necessary to support the new structure. Designed to achieve LEED for Homes MidRise Silver, we were able to achieve LEED Gold through creative solutions.
