Reaching 23 stories into the Tacoma skyline, the new Tacoma Convention Center Marriott Hotel opened its doors to guests in November 2020.  As the general contractor, Absher Construction Company built this new hotel within inches of the 100-year-old Carlton Building and adjacent to the Convention Center. The 452,000 SF hotel consists of 304 guest rooms, ballrooms, meeting rooms, restaurant, bar, fitness center, and a swimming pool on the 5^th floor. At the street level, 8,800 SF of future retail space is provided, as well as 534 parking stalls in 6 floors above-grade parking levels.
